Adobe Photoshop Bootcamp for Professionals (20 hours)

Learn the building blocks of technical and creative applications for photographic image alteration in this condensed boot camp. Classroom learning from our seasoned instructor is paired with hands-on exercises allowing you to apply both articulation and visualization image alteration principles. You will develop your skills to properly use Photoshop’s tools to retouch and color correct photographic images, manipulate and alter photographic imagery by selecting, specifying, changing color and by isolating, combining, and altering selected areas. You can immediately apply your new skills to your own projects or work after day one.

By the end of this boot camp, you will gain:
 Working knowledge of the Photoshop program
 An understanding of the basic tools within the program
 Confidence in image editing
 Experience working with photo layers
 Ability to apply color corrections to photos and type
 Painting and drawing skills within Photoshop
 Capacity to change color curves and correct color balance
 An understanding of exporting formats (pdf, eps, jpeg, etc.)
 Knowledge of resolution options
 Proficiency to track color palettes
 Familiarization of raw and Metadata file information
 Understanding of Adobe Bridge

Audience: Designed as an entry level class for those new to Adobe Photoshop software. More experienced Photoshop users with no formal training are also encourage to attend as you will benefit from learning time- saving tips, tricks, keyboard shortcuts and essential foundational Photoshop skills.

Pre-requisite: Comfortable working with computers

When: Saturdays from October 21 to November 18, 2017, 9am to 1pm
**No class on Monday, October 9 in observance of Columbus Day

Cost: $ 884 includes 20 hours of in-person instruction, class in a state- of- the- art Mac lab, and access to Adobe Photoshop software

Location: Harvey 136 Mac Lab located on the Lyndon State College campus
